aelfthone

the seasons are almost coming full circle. The enchanter's nightshade is in flower. Very potent against spells cast by elves. Maybe this year the sun will linger on.

bindweed

even bindweed looks exotic sometimes.

valerian

this complex little parachute seed is from common valerian, in a lane near you.

three's a crowd

three new paw pals who live in the village, Radar, Flash and Connor. Connor is clearly dreaming about Harriet. Harriet is dreaming about herself.

Two's company

I didn't notice the interloper until later. Do beetles have minds? Do they mind?

mattie in wonderland

mattie doing her stuff; she came a very creditable third in a large class for the under 3". She is very beautiful. We have decided that the judging was very poor, possibly even Argentinian in orientation, and the best dogs (us) did not win, the winners just fawned all over the ref, winking and barking and falling over at the merest touch in a sickening display of false submission. There should be penalties for that sort of behaviour, then we would win (on penalties). Three people in background have just been given Harriet's pawgraph.

By the way it turns out to be Wid _ mouth ... I knew those Cornish would have some secret way of catching you out.

spot comes second

who says I can't cut the mustard. Second in an enormous class of two, and where was Harriet? ... not even placed. Picture by Aunty Elaine who came with us and used to take photographs for a living hence superior quality. And we met sister Mattie, and our proper Dad, Josh. There was a very severe storm but it could not dampen my enthusiasm for more shows, and I helped myself to some cold ham for supper although I tried not to look so smug.
