sylvia's meadow II

spiders, meadow brown butterfly with wings open, and the confusingly named fairy flax best know for its extreme purgative powers in an infusion of wine

  1. The 'confusingly named' fairy flax? Well, Spot there is no confusion. In addition to its purging problems it was used for certain gynacological conditions to which, it was believed, lady fairies were particularly prone. But let's not go there, eh, Spot? Much more interesting things for a dog to sniff out. So to speak.

  3. well, I just thought it ought to be called something like laxative flax as its latin name is linum catharticum, or maybe little flux. In this instance I blame the Irish.
